Get ready for a magical Easter celebration at HOTA – Home of the Arts, where imagination takes center stage! The Mad Hatter Easter Bonnet Workshop & Parade is the perfect opportunity for kids and families to let their creativity shine while stepping into a whimsical world straight out of Alice in Wonderland.
At this fun-filled event, participants are invited to design and decorate their very own Easter bonnets—ideal for a tea party with the Mad Hatter himself! Bring a hat from home or craft one using the quirky and playful paper templates provided. From feathers to pom-poms, ribbons to sparkles, there’s a treasure trove of materials waiting to help your wildest ideas come to life.
Once your hat is complete, it’s time to strut your stuff in the Mad Hatter Parade, a joyful and colourful procession full of laughter, flair, and fabulous headwear. Whether you’re five or fifty, everyone is encouraged to take part in this celebration of creativity and community spirit.
But that’s not all—dress up in your Easter bonnet or come as your favourite Alice in Wonderland character, and you’ll receive half-price entry to HOTA Gallery’s exclusive exhibition, Writers Revealed. This extraordinary exhibit brings literature to life with rare handwritten manuscripts, personal letters, and illustrations from legendary authors such as Lewis Carroll, making it a perfect addition to your Easter experience.
