Fright Nights 2026 Is Coming for YouHellship maze Baroness haunting the wreckage of Dark Star at Fright Nights

When the sun goes down on the Gold Coast this October, something wakes up. Fright Nights Movie World transforms the park into a nightmare after dark — five bone-chilling scare mazes, bloodcurdling horror encounters, mind-bending panic rooms, terrifying night rides, and monsters that hunt the streets long after the gates are meant to close.

If you think you can handle the dark, come find out.

House of Kain: The Legend Continues

As the last light fades, the darkness at Movie World takes over completely. Guests are challenged to conquer five petrifying scare mazes, brave a lineup of returning and brand-new horror encounters, push their limits in brain-melting panic rooms, and survive scream-inducing night rides — all while monsters roam free through the park. At the centre of it all sits the House of Kain saga, the twisted mythology tying this year’s most talked-about maze to the legend guests have feared for years.

New for 2026: The Krypt of Kain

Deep below the cursed Hotel of Horrors, something older and hungrier has been waiting. Legend has it the basement was once used for ritual killings — and whatever fed on that evil never really left. It’s grown. It’s multiplied. And now it has a name: the Krypt of Kain.

This is the next chilling chapter in the House of Kain story, darker, tighter and far more relentless than anything that’s come before it.

What’s waiting for you down there:

  • A brand-new descent into the House of Kain saga — evil has evolved
  • A former chamber of sacrifice, now a breeding ground for twisted, grotesque fiends
  • Monsters lurking in every shadow, born from decades of stained walls and buried sins
  • A warning worth heeding: those who enter rarely make it out to tell the story

Five Horror Mazes. Five Different Nightmares.

This year’s lineup features five fully immersive indoor horror mazes, each built around its own storyline, elaborate set design, narrow corridors, special effects and live scare actors ready to jump out the second you let your guard down.

Krypt of Kain — Descend into the pitch-black basement beneath the Hotel of Horrors, once a site of ritual killings, now crawling with fiends who never stopped feeding. Widely rated by past guests as the most intense maze of the entire event.

Eternal Dark — Step aboard the derelict spacecraft Eternal, freshly returned from deep space and gone silent. An aggressive alien virus has infected the crew, and what’s left of them is hunting fresh hosts through the ship’s pulsing corridors.

DCeased — Inspired by the DC Comics horror saga. Darkseid’s anti-life equation has swept the planet, twisting Earth’s greatest heroes into flesh-eating monsters. Navigate a post-apocalyptic city while corrupted versions of icons like Batman hunt you down.

Circurse — Set inside the charred wreckage of the Sable Bros. Smile Time Circus, burned down by a rival troupe. Unhinged ringmaster Sir Smiles-a-lot survived the flames and lurks in the smoke, recruiting new acts for his deadly carnival.

Hellship — Explore the sunken wreckage of cruise liner Dark Star, wrecked off the Bahamas. Deep in its hull, explorers unearthed the Deamones Cor — the world’s largest ruby — tearing open a literal gateway to Hell.Sir Smiles-a-lot lurking in the burnt ruins of Sable Bros. Smile Time Circus

Think you and your crew have what it takes? Panic Rooms are Fright Nights’ answer to the escape room — high-pressure, puzzle-driven challenges where the clock is always against you. Gather your group, work fast, crack the clues, and get out before time runs out. Not included in general admission — grab yours as an upgrade when you book.
