Oatz Bistro Bar Southport: Asian Flavours, Fine-Dining Finesse
Perched on the Broadwater, Oatz Bistro Bar is Southport’s newest waterfront hangout. It serves bold Asian flavours with a polished, fine-dining edge in a relaxed setting. Oatz sits right next to sister restaurant See Thai at Meriton Retail Sundale. Both come from Rit Suttinual and Jade Kim, the duo behind Robina favourite Thai on the Hill.
The Food Is Next Level
Head chef Rit took his Thai roots on a trip across Asia, and the menu is proof. We started with the Prawn and Pork Gyoza, pan-fried until golden and served with chilli and soy sauce, alongside the Salt and Pepper Squid, crisp, seasoned and finished with truffle mayo, lemon and chives. The Wagyu Beef Skewers were a standout, three melt-in-your-mouth pieces topped with black garlic, aged tart and chives.
For mains, the Tempura Barramundi and Chips delivers a beer-battered barramundi fillet with crunchy chips and a fresh garden salad, while the Lamb Cutlets arrive with butter sauce and mint corn, rich, tender and totally moreish.
Save Room for Dessert
Finish with the Green Tea Ice Cream, served with brown sugar mochi and white chocolate crumble, or go classic with a Tiramisu if you like to end on familiar ground.
